Southern Illinois Raceway is pleased to announce the "Highbanks Hustle" to be ran July 11-13th, with a rain date of July 14th. The Highbanks Hustle will be one of THE wing outlaw races to attend in 2013! It will boast a $5,000 to win, $250 to start payout on Saturday night for the Winged Outlaw class. In addition, it will pay $500 to win on Friday night. In addition, the Wing Outlaw class will be the only class racing this weekend. The info on The Highbanks Hustle is as follows:
Thursday night July 11th - Open practice from 6-9pm, $10 to get in the pits, grandstands are free
Friday night July 12th - Preliminary Night $500 to win, $30 to start
Saturday night July 13th - Final night of the Highbanks Hustle $5,000 to win, $250 to start
The entry fee for the weekend will be $100 pre-entry by June 1st or $125 any time after (driver pit pass not included). Pre-Entry forms will be up ASAP on the tracks website. Pit Passes will be $30 each day Friday and Saturday. Also, the track will also be offering RESERVED PARKING for $50 for the weekend. The first 20 people that send in a parking form (to be posted ASAP) with money will get to choose anywhere in the pits that they would like to park.
The format on Friday will be 10 lap heat races based off of a pill draw. Passing points will be given in the heat races and line up qualifiers that will be 20 laps. The top 24 cars will start the feature Friday night and race for $500 to win! The TOP 6 in the 30 lap feature will be LOCKED IN to Saturday nights big A-Main event! These 6 cars will run a special dash (details to be announced later) on Saturday night.
Then on Saturday everyone will start over and re pill draw for 10 lap heat races. Passing points will be given again and line up 20 lap qualifiers. The top "so many" out of each qualifier will fill spots 7-18 for the feature. Then an exciting 15 lap Last Chance Showdown will be ran with the first 20 cars not in the feature. The top 6 in the LCS will fill out the 24 car field. The top 6 from Friday night will run a dash determing the starting order for the front 3 rows. The winner of the dash will have LANE CHOICE in the feature! Thats right, if the winner of the dash wants to start on the outside he will have the choice to do so! Then we will run the 40 lap Highbanks Hustle feature event!
