Modifieds and Micros at SSP on Wed. July 3rd
An exciting night of racing action is on tap for Wednesday night, July 3, at the Susquehanna Speedway Park with the 8th Annual Eichelberger’s U-Pull-It Super Show featuring the Sportman Modifieds along with three classes of Sprint Cars (PA Sprint Series, Sidewinder Sprints and 60cc Micro Sprints). Also competing on the Big Track will be the Classic Cars and Legends Cars.
The open comp Sportsman Modified race will follow the generally accepted Sportsman Modified rules throughout local tracks in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Sail panels are permitted and the minimum weight rule will be 2,450 lbs for cars with aluminum wheels and 2,375 lbs for cars with steel wheels. The 20-lap feature will pay $1,000 to the winner and $100 to start.
The open competition 600cc Micro Sprints will pay $700.00 to the winner with no entry fee ($40.00 to start). The rules will follow the generally accepted rules with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey track running 600cc Micro Sprints.
On Wednesday, July 3, the pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Warm-ups begin at 6:40 p.m. with qualifying races at 7:00 p.m. followed by consolation races and feature events.
General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for the special event on Wednesday night, July 3 are Adults (ages 18-59) $14.00; Young Adults (ages 11-17) & Senior Adults (60 & Older) $12.00; Children (10 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $25.00 with a reduced price of $22.00 for all pit competitor license holders. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 12 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 12 to 14.
The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
