Trail-way Speedway will limit Saturday night racing schedule to special events only in 2013. When the economy rebounds, and justifies to start racing again on every Saturday, we will do so then. We are making this decision early so teams can make plans for next year.
Due to the current economic climate, Trail-Way will only race on Friday nights next season other than limited special events. Unfortunately with dwindling car counts, increased insurance premiums, and fuel prices, it has been difficult to make a profit without raising gate fees significantly. We appreciate all of the support and effort teams made every Saturday night to call Trail-way their home on a weekly basis for the past 40 years. These heartfelt decisions, have not been easy for us, and have left us with some hard choices to make for next season.
We are currently working on next year's schedule that will include 358 Super Sprints, and Limited Stocks most every Friday night. Other classes filling in will be the 600 Winged Micro Sprints, Legends, Street Stocks (last year's Xtreme Stocks will be renamed Street Stocks), and 358 Late Models. Very few rules will be changed for the Limited Stocks and Street Stocks and those changes will be available on our web site soon.
Three shows, 2 early and 1 late in the season, for the 270 Micro Sprints are currently being penciled in, along with 4 shows for the A.M.A. Motorcycle Flat Track.
The following classes will not be back in 2013:the Scramble Cars and Strictly Stocks.
As always, Trail-way Speedway will continue to provide local race teams and fans with a quality facility for your entertainment.
