TYLER WALTON COMES FROM LAST TO WIN KINGS WITHOUT WINGS AT PATH VALLEY SPEEDWAY

On a frigid April 20th, 13 die hard racers braved the winter like temperatures looking to bring the kings crown back to the shop. Even though the rain cancelled Friday nights program, the track was super fast and tacky on Saturday giving the drivers multiple grooves and the spectators some great 600 Kings Without Wings sprint racing.

Unfortunately  some drivers  could not run the 600 wingless portion of the program with mishaps ending their night after the winged 600 feature. On the other hand, Tyler Walton had the night every racer wants, pulling into victory lane after both features. " We had planned on running here tonight and with the KWOW  here the same night it just made sense. It's amazing how taking the wing off gives you another level of competition. We paid the entry fee and even if I had finished where I started I would have gotten the entry money back but now I made 10 times the amount. Wall Street doesn't even do that in this day and age."

Walton's win wouldn't come easy as he worked his way thru the field by halfway. On a restart, Walton would contend with Aaron Bowes, driving a 600 modified, with minor body changes made per the rulebook. Bowes would hold off Walton for a few laps with a stock 600 Suzuki and finish in the top five.  The final caution flew for the leaders Beidel  and  Whary as they made contact just as Walton made the move to the inside to take the lead bringing out the red flag.
Bruce Ginther Jr. hoped he didn't leave it all on the track coming from his 7th place start to contend for the win.  Time would be on the side of Walton with three laps remaining and Walton having the advantage. Coming into turn one had the leaders side by side with third place runner Tom Schearer looking to join the fun. As they entered turn three Ginther would drive hard into the turn only to lose just enough momentum to Walton but giving Schearer the opening he would need. Ginther Jr. did a awesome job protecting his second place run from a hard charging Schearer for a respectable second and third run.

Tom Schearer's  #62 power plant will head to Shippensburg Speedway on May 11th as the Kings Without Wings points leader. Will we see a repeat winner or will there be a new face wearing the crown in victory lane.

FEATURE FINISH

TYLER WALTON, Bruce Ginther Jr., Tom Schearer, Ben Houtz, Aaron Bowes, Alex Potosky, Steve Whary, Devin Beidel, Kameron Morral, Wade Kemp
