Why is Hill Valley Speedway at the end of a ‘Path’ and Path Valley Speedway on the side of a ‘Hill’?

Travis Senter is a class act and I was very glad he won the 600 Nationals in a Stallard. I was also very happy for all the super people that work at Stallard as well. They run a very classy organization.

Of the 14 drivers from the northeast that were at the 600 Nationals in Arkansas this past September, seven of them were in the feature. I don’t know if there is another area of the country that can say they had half their drivers in the feature field. If there are, let me know I would be interested in hearing that information.

Congrats to Jerrod Wilson on a great year and winning the $500 ‘Hard Charger Award,’ sponsored by 600scene.com at that race as well.

600Scene.com presented over $1,100 in contingency awards at different events in 2006. Look for this dollar figure to increase in 2007.

2007 AC Gamblers Classic winner prediction – Mike Dicely in a Spitfire TQ.

Great quote “… I have never seen a three legged horse win a race.” I don’t know why, but I think that is hysterically funny and so true.

Why do race tracks that are located where there is bad seasonal weather stop racing in October, when realistically they could race almost until Thanksgiving with fairly good weather? However, they try and race at the end of February and beginning of March when it is freezing cold and snow has to be plowed off the track? Am I missing something?

That being said, why do tracks that are located where the weather is good not have very long seasons?

I laugh at people in other areas of the country (particularly California, this is not a knock by the way just a regional thing) who race 25 times a year and think they have run a full and long season. In the Northeast, that might get you to Memorial Day. LOL!

I would like to see a central Pennsylvania (and Ohio, Indiana, etc.) Micro Sprint Speedweek. $1,000 Championship Purse, $500 to win each night. For PA the schedule could be Grandview starts the week on Tuesday with a Thunder on The Hill show in conjunction with the 410’s, Kutztown Wednesday, Linda’s Thursday, Path Valley Friday, Hill Valley Saturday & Trailway on Sunday. Or Start at Trailway on the previous Sun., Monday off and end at Lanco on Sunday.

I have thoughts on why every track should run on the day listed. There is a reason.

That being said, I have no interest in promoting this whatsoever, period. Don’t even ask. 600scene.com would gladly help with pr, sponsorship support and advertising initiatives though.

Speaking of promotion, I criticize race track promoters a lot, but I think they cause themselves a lot of problems and are their own worst enemy. However, I would never want to be a promoter or assume the risk they take on. I have a lot of respect for them in that regards.

Why do Micro Sprint tracks never run twin 20 lap or 25 lap features? Or Triple 20 lap features for that matter?

I feel that the weight limit for 600’s should be raised to 775lbs. I know of just about no one who is close to the weight limit of 750lbs. Ironically, this is about the only rule (750lbs) that racers & promoters alike agree on from coast to coast.

I don’t know how 2007’s Super 600 Showdown is going to go at Lanco. I wish Dale the best and hope it is the most successful one he has to date; but I have my doubts about the track selection. From what I am hearing, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this.

Early prediction for winner is someone who races at ‘The Clyde’ weekly, not just sure who yet.

I am big on racing nicknames, a very cool one given this year to Northeast micro driver Lex Burritt, ‘The Connecticut Cruiser’!

Dale Earndhart Jr. Fans, Philadelphia Eagles Fans, New York Yankees & NY Mets Fans are all of the same mold. They think their driver/team is the greatest there ever was and that they should be entitled to contend for the championship every year and should not even have to compete in the regular season. And they “…have always been fans” (their famous quote). Nor do they ever do anything wrong. Of all of them, I will give the Yankees fans the nod, at least they have the Championships to back up the ignorance.

And just for the record the PA Posse should only be used when referring to 410 SPRINT CAR DRIVERS who compete in Central Pennsylvania. Not micro sprint drivers or midgets or go-karts or quarter midgets or any other division for that matter. The Posse is a sacred thing, please don’t mess with tradition; especially racers from NJ.

And finally, I have recently heard of new 600cc micros going for in excess of $21,000 turn-key. What could have caused the cost of the 600 class to spiral out of control?????????? Hmmmm, let me think, I am pretty sure torsion arms, bars and stops have not increased quite that much. Well, if it is not the car what could it be?

A Stock Class just won’t make it either, whatever.
