Despite threatening weather conditions over 300 cars jammed the Borgers pits and parking lot for this past Saturday’s event.  Well, that did include racecars, trucks pulling racecars, push quads, cars in the grandstand area, Pap’s Golf Cart,  employee cars, plus a few we pulled off route 115 when we threw the spike strips out.

When another speedway was unable to host their scheduled event for the 270 Road Show the event was quickly re-scheduled to Path Valley Speedway as a tune-up for their event scheduled for May 25th.  Rain threatened to cancel the show, but instead provided plenty of moisture in the clay and a very fast racing surface.

A determined Borgers Speedway track drying crew of Brandon Azzalina, Brian and BJ Wambold, Joe Agnello, Dan Curnell, and Eric Ceasar worked relentlessly from 11:00 a.m. at times during the rain to dry the asphalt surface to get racing underway at 4:00 p.m.  In a gutsy move where many other track operators would of thrown in the towel Brendan O’Connor vowed he would get the show in if it took until the curfew time of 10:00 p.m.

Bridgeport, NJ (May 11, 2013) - On Bridgeport Speedway’s inner dirt oval, Jay Hartman racked up two wins. Sam Lamothe and Jay Hartman each won a 600cc Micro-Sprint main event on Twin 15 Night. Jay Hartman took the checkered flag in the 270cc Micro-Sprint feature. Scott Dunn scored the victory in the 4-Cylinder Enduro Car race.

5/10/13 Liam Ryan scored his second straight victory at Deming Speedway on Little Caesar’s / Body Armor night in the 600 Open division by leading all 25 laps in front of a raucous crowd. Other feature winners on this warm early summer evening were Jared Peterson, Tanner Holm and Lynden Lebedinski.

Saturday, May 4th, 2013 - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Few could get a handle on Mother Nature’s confused intent for the Sooner State this weekend, and caught in the middle of such a confused climate was I44 Riverside Speedway, a high banked 1/5th mile speed trap located in the southwestern corner of Oklahoma City. I44 Riverside was the front line turning point. The point where Sooner State Racing rallied to the front line in defiance of the late season chill.

Sean McAndrew looked to be the early favorite in the 270cc Micro Sprint feature when he started third and was leading before lap one was complete.  A caution regrouped the field on lap four and on the restart Josh Stoyer made his move and powered into the lead.

Perfect weather for racing on Friday May 3rd at Lindas Speedway gave 40 Xcel Chassis 600 modified drivers the opportunity to take home a $1000 payday sponsored by Juvenate Energy Plus. Lindas Speedway may be one of the smallest tracks the tour division will visit but doesn't lack in speed for the drivers or excitement for the spectators. Eric Whitby showed the way leading every lap holding off charges from Ryan Higgs and Nick Mady.
